Mind Melt: British Film Institute brochure
The British Film Institute (BFI) put on a week long festival featuring pop culture films heavily influenced by surrealist classics such as 'Un Chien Andalou.'
For the hero image, I created custom eye stickers to place on myself to manipulate the appearance of the body and warped the image further in post. The folds of the brochure simulated the structural confusion created in surrealist film where plot sequencing is often amorphous and difficult to follow. Type was also manipulated to create visual unrest.
The brief resulted in a seemingly simple booklet that opens to a much more complicated interior. One side slowly reveals the poster image when fully opened.
