About Hack

Hack made coding fun for kids: A Linux-based gaming platform built into an Asus laptop, later available on USB. I joined the visual effort from the ground up, producing video, animation, product photography, and social ads that pushed the brand beyond its initial identity.

Challenges

A dual audience: parents sold on educational credibility, kids sold on fun. The brand had to speak to both without compromising either. The balance was struck by using bright colors with strong educational messaging.

Material for CES 2019 - A Tech Conference for Industry Innovators

The audience at CES was very different from our target market, so the material skewed more “edgy”, but still needed to have the heart of the brand which was playful and at times roguish.
